We’re a design consultancy built around people, purpose and practical innovation. Our team brings deep expertise across strategy, product development and delivery, combining the agility of a small studio with the insight of seasoned practitioners.

We work as a delivery partner on user-centred projects, working with ambitious organisations to create solutions that genuinely improve lives. For us, design isn’t just about how something looks, it’s about how it works, how it’s made, and the difference it makes in the real world.

Our process starts with listening. We seek insight directly from stakeholders, uncovering the unmet needs that shape meaningful innovation. From there, we iterate collaboratively, refining concepts to arrive at solutions that are beautiful, intuitive and desirable. We’re passionate about advancing planet conscious materials, manufacturing techniques and business models, helping our clients bring forward-thinking products to market with confidence and clarity.

Our base in Sheffield allows us to tap into one of the UK’s most dynamic manufacturing and innovation ecosystems. The city sits at the heart of a thriving advanced manufacturing cluster, supported by world-class research centres, structured business support and regional growth streams. This shortens development cycles, reduces risk and improves commercialisation speed.

Sheffield is a strong strategic logistics position on the M1 corridor with strong connectivity to major national and international freight hubs.

We also share close proximity to one of the UK’s largest NHS trusts and access to regional Integrated Care Systems, facilitating faster clinician feedback loops and stronger case studies for national procurement.

Andy

An industrial designer with extensive experience delivering commercial product design expertise into academic and clinically led research projects. He specialises in translating complex healthcare challenges into manufacturable, user-centred solutions that balance regulatory requirements, ergonomics, and real-world usability.

His work has supported multidisciplinary teams in developing innovative medical and assistive devices. From patient dignity–enchancing treatment garments and paediatric clinical wearables, to modular orthotic supports for degenerative conditions. He has also contributed to the design and build of inclusive environments for elderly and disabled users, and to the development of advanced clinical training simulators for obstetric emergency procedures.

He can prototype pretty much anything except a working LandRover.

Abby

An experience-focused designer with a strong background in consumer products and transport infrastructure. She built her technical expertise at London based consultancy Jedco, before designing pushchairs and nursery products at Mamas & Papas, later developing houseware, garden and pet products at Kin for UK retailer Wilko.

She is currently Lead Designer at Bibado, where she delivers innovative, research-led baby weaning products. With excellent market analysis and product positioning skills, she combines strategic thinking with refined form development and strong colour, material and finish (CMF) expertise to create commercially compelling, user-centred products.

She used to run her own business selling rare houseplants.

Matt

An industrial designer with experience across both commercial and academic projects, specialising in medical and assistive devices. He’s developed 3D-printed ventilation masks for children, wearable cuffs for FES therapy, inertial measurement headsets and a hospital beside handset, always with a strong focus on usability and real-world performance.

Alongside healthcare work, he’s designed a wide range of commercial products, from keyfobs, helmets and footwear to toys, interactive museum exhibits and even drinks dispensers. He brings expertise in systems design and circular economy thinking, considering how products fit within wider service ecosystems and how they can be designed for longevity, repair, reuse and responsible manufacture.

He loves cycling and hills of the Peak District.
